To solve this problem, the JRE needs to be installed properly. To check if the JRE is installed and configured properly run the following TestVm applet:

    http://java.com/en/download/help/testvm.xml

If you can see the dancing Duke animated image in the applet above, then the JRE is installed and configured correctly on your system.

Pogo has verified that Norton Internet Security prevents some of the games from working properly because it identifies the games as adware.

To ensure that Pogo games run fine on your system, you can choose to apply one of the two options:

    1. Turn Off Norton Internet Security/Norton Personal Firewall/Symantec Client Firewall. To disable this application: Right click on the green NIS icon in the system tray and select Disable.
    2. Permit Pogo applet/application to access the internet. Instructions to configure web site to be allowed to run via NIS/NPF are available in their respective user guides or help section. Instructions:

    (a) Double click on NIS/NPF icon in the system tray.

    (b) This will pop up NIS/NPF window.

    (c) Click on Help icon, which will launch the Help Window. In the Search box, type ‘Adding to list’. Click on display. Follow the instructions accordingly.
